Austin's night / homecoming afterparty - 1st

Went to see Austin play in his band for Broken Arrow Intermediate, at one of their football way-games. Their team didn't win so much, but austin was a total stud in the band. Wanted to go give him a hug but he was stuck WAAAAAAAAY in the top of the bleachers and we couldn't get to him. So i climbed the back of the bleachers, and he got his hug (remember kids, don't try this at home)

State fair night - 6th

Went to the fair to enjoy some fun and games! The evening began with a crazy bus ride to the Tulsa state fair. Upon arriving at the fair we stumbled upon the fabled Doughnut Burger (which i tried by the way and it was quite delicious) which began making many of the youth attending foam at the mouth. As we continued our adventure into the fair we decided it'd be fun to kick off our shoes and go riding on a glider ride, as the end of our mid-air extravaganza drew closer, we decided to go play paint ball and pelt eachother for a little bit. The high energetic game of paintball had us all jumping behind numerous barriers, and attempting to cause as much damage to the opposite teams players as we possibly could. After our game of paintball, me and Dom had to utilize our ninja skills to make our way back to the Target parking lot to retrieve Joan of AH (our extremely awesome and trustworthy church bus) and after getting the bus started up and ready to go, Dom's advanced driving techniques got us back to the church right on time.

ORU Can Drive - 31st

On this night we met up at the church to collect canned goods, once Dom whirred the bus around the neighborhood nearby to find a good parking spot we split up into two groups (boys and girls) and ventured around said neighborhood to collect canned goods. It began with a friendly contest, as the two groups began battling to see who could collect the most cans, we swiftly moved from house to house kindly greeting local families and helping them with prayers and wishing them the best for their kindness and giving. After running free under the brilliant night sky for a while we gathered up all our cans and ran back to the bus. Upon arriving safely back at the church we met up with the other group and headed on to the ORU campus, once there we ran, hopped, skipped, and jumped our way to the door. Unfortunately, we had many brown paper bags lost on the way.. We honor our brave and committed paper bags for the work that they did, and they will always be remembered. Once we entered the can temple (ORU Chapel) we walked through the crowds and piled up all of our cans amongst the other mounds of cans. Then we proceeded back to the church and congratulated ourselves for a job well done.
